Julie VanDerZanden is a patent lawyer who has practiced in the areas of patents, trademarks, and trade secrets for the past 30 years. While attending law school at night, Ms. VanDerZanden worked as an engineer at Boeing. She then worked at a law firm helping inventors obtain patent rights before working for corporations to manage and guide the commercial use of the intellectual property. She is currently acting Chief IP Counsel for Element Solution Inc.
